He was born in Mexico City at the young age of zero. As he grew up and down, Federico became a singer/composer in a couple of rock and roll groups and survived without any visible scars. Completing a BA in Communications, Traeger navigated the magical streams of advertising, working as a Copywriter and a Creative Director for multinational ad agencies in Mexico City, San Antonio, Los Angeles, New York and Houston. Over three decades of fun, indeed! At the same time, Federico’s love for creative writing and literature developed at several writing workshops, which resulted in two short story books. Later on, Penguin Random House, Alfaguara, has published four novels written by Federico: Amores Adúlteros, Amores Adúlteros… el final, Haz el Amor y No la Cama and Cuando Todo Era Para Siempre. Also, Editorial Planeta, published a short story book titled Lo Que No Mata Enamora. Lately, Federico’s work is devoted one hundred percent to teaching Creative Writing to his students and to observe and absorb life as he filters it onto paper, music lyrics and big and small screens.
